Hello! I'm a young little slip of a thing from South Texas that somehow ended up in the mountains of Utah. I'm not really sure how that happened. My first introduction to wood heating was when I was 13, during an ice storm at my aunt's vineyard in the Ozarks- the power went out, but who cared, because she had a wood stove! I remember being amazed at how well it heated up the whole house during the whole storm and how much fun it was to make the fire. So when my first home had it's 30 year old furnace die on us... and it was going to be $3k just to install a new one, plus another $2k to update the heating ducts... why not get a wood stove? I live in a forest!
