My wife and I live in a 47' geodesic dome house of our own construction. We heated with a masonry stove that I built for ~ 10 years and then installed radiant floor heat using a small natural gas boiler. The system uses about 470 therms per year. We would love to have a wood gasifier but the upfront cost would be more than 10 years of heating expense. The payback would extend out very far into the future.
