A 14" Stihl MS 192 C-E.

She's a good girl who likes the outdoors. She's always told me she "needs her own chainsaw." I've always just laughed and shook my head. I've always been worried she'd get hurt.

I still worry about her getting hurt. But I figure the 192 is light and handy enough that she'll probably be fine.

I'll post pics after Christmas.

That's neat Jager. My wife used to bug me about one but I would never trust her with a chain saw. Shoot, I won't even let her stack wood.

Hmmm... if I bought my wife a 70cc saw, I wonder if she'd let me borrow it.

Dunno... might be a doghouse move, like buying her a vacuum cleaner.

how much did you have to pay for the 192? Does Stihl run specials/sales during any time of the year? I would like to purchase a smaller saw and am not in a hurry. The local Stihl dealer is selling them pretty much for full retail. However, they do have a special for 1/2 off the saw case when you purchase any saw.

Awesome gift! I would love a chainsaw for xmas.....you better git her some chaps too!
Mr Gamma is always afraid I am gonna get hurt....I am prone to mishaps.. :shut: You guys have seen my arm burns...I could really mame myself with a saw...

I bought a tractor on (for) Mrs Flatbedford's birthday.

Wish her a happy birthday from us and congratulate her on that new tractor too.

That was a couple years ago, but I'll tell her anyway.

I paid regular retail, jd. They did give me a baseball cap. ;-)

When I bought my second MS 250 a couple years ago one of the local shops had a couple of their Stihl saws on sale - alas, not the 250 I wanted. Not sure when or what might prompt a sale. Most shops I've seen, most of the time, seem to sell them at standard retail.

Now a tractor... that's something Steve! My wife would like one of those, too!

Last time we cut firewood my wife wanted to run a saw. When she said that I just cringed at the memories of all her mishaps with sharp kitchen utensils. :shut: She told me I was sweet for caring then went back to running the splitter. Maybe someday I will get over worrying about it and teach her. :-/ My wife would not run the tractor for years and she always called it "your" tractor, then one day she wanted to learn to run it. After teaching her how to drive it it is now referred to as "her" tractor.

192's with a .043 chain will suprise the heck out of you. I use my 192t alot and if it gets warn out I will buy another one....

My wife was a city kid. when we bought the house in '03 she wanted to learn how to do all the outside stuff. Lawn mower, wheelbarrow, chainsaw, etc. I even let her drive the tractor right after I drove it off the truck.

It was her birthday.
