dad works at lowes part time so i grabbed a ton of natures own with his 10% discount as a christmas gift from my parents. typically have been burning ligs green label and also have a ton of those in the garage. i have noticed the natures own are not nearly as hot and i believe they have way more ash. they are in my mind a shoulder pellet. according to the bag they are soft and hardwood mixed i believe. im burning them in a breckwell p23i 2nd season with it from what ive read here thought they would be a better pellet

How much did you pay for them and How much did you pay for the Ligs?

Everyone has there own standards per say. And everyones stove handles pellets a bit differently! My decent could be junk to you. Many here always say "try before you buy". I'm sure you have seen it if you've been reading things here. Keeps peeps from getting tons of stuff that doesn't burn well in their stoves. Might want to try that next time around JIC! ;-)

In my stove they were a decent middle of the road pellet. Not outstanding just decent. The kicker is the cheap price they were going for. Money factor of saying some coin is like a spoon full of sugar!

I have a very mixed bag in my stash because my BB stores were running through truck loads at $3.94 a bag. So far my Nature’s Own are at the bottom. They have lots of fines and when I pour into my transfer coal bucket they kick up a dust bowl. They are also above average in ash. The heat is ok with them. I guess since I got them for $3.54 a bag I should not complain much.

I agree. Keep whatever you have left of them for the spring shoulder season, and start using the Ligs now....the weather is getting colder.

i got them for $195 they were part of my christmas gift from my parents dad works at lowes part time cant complain too much since i didnt pay for them but they def are a bit more ashy and dont burn as hot as the green label ligs ive been burning. i typically have to clean the stove every 3 days but i also need to scrape the pot every once in a while inbetween cleanings. weather here in sw pa still hasent been extreemly cold yet has been typically in the 40's for an average saving the ligs for janurary and february typically burn about a ton a month.
