I recently purchased this:

and so far so good. It was the right price & size & has 3 filters. It does have a high pitched squeal to it but its not on that long to drive me nuts.

Purchased my Cougar when we had the 10-CPM installed in Nov. Love it!! Tremendous suction, nice small hose and nozzle, external filter shaker to keep filter fresh (should have used a course thread as opposed to the fine thread for the cover of the shaker handle as this makes it harder than it should be to screw back on), large capacity tank and a beautiful winter scene on the canister that looks nice beside the stove. In my humble opinion - great item.

I have the Loveless Cougar and got it on ebay for 200 delivered. I love it! Quite and clean discharge! This is very important to me, I have very bad allergies and any air borne irritants can cause problems. Other people might want to keep this in mind if they have small children or?

Ive been using a $19 stinger shop vac from home depot and I attach a plastic hose on the back of the vac and put it out the window and close the window on the hose and let it rip works fine no dust!
then every few days i leaf blow the dust filter in the driveway to clean it up also, the dust filters are like $7 for a 3 pack!!

Finally used it last night. Great suction and I dont find it to be loud at all. The extra attachments that came with it for free are helpful. Its also much smaller than a shop vac. Easier to store and not so big and clunky.
