Went to the shop today after the long weekend. A tree company dropped a load of white oak (already quartered)

Are you kidding me? Seriously, I would love to know a tree service like that. Do they drop off cash every once in a while? :bug:
 
Lovely pie cuts! A good size load, Should split like a dream and burn even better! Congrats.
 
Just before Christmas the truck was at a pizza place right next to my shop. I asked the guys if they could dump the wood around the corner. I got about a cord of maple. I called their boss to thank him, and he said they have more. When I got to the shop on Teusday surprise. Oh yeah, I spent $11.50 on the pizza.

Way to go! Santa's sleigh would have been sitting down low on the runners with that load. White oak, no less. Excellent score.

I always get free wood from my local tree guy,,,but its never quartered like that.....thats awesome
