So, my lazy flame etc, I've decided to try to clean my T myself for the first time to save a fe bucks. Does it just slide off and do I need any stuff to reseal it when I'm done? Thanks...

Is your T on the back of the stove, or outside? In general, you don't take the whole T off.....just rotate the end cap about 1/8 turn, and then pull/wiggle the cap off.
