I was kinda surprised when I lifted the lid of my Progress the other day - it was a very dark brown. Is this normal? I'm guessing maybe it is because that's where the smoke is getting routed through, but just want to make sure.
 
Brown is nothing to worry about. We get the same with the Firevies. It all gets cleaned during the annual summer cleaning with a wire brush. You should be fine.
