Ive noticed this year that the top of my insert is hotter than it has been, and I think the room blower is blowing less air, I plan to pull it out to oil the exhaust blower, can I oil the room blower as well? Any thoughts on why it's blowing less air?

Thanks

Yes you can lube the convection blower. Reason its blowing less air is its probably got some stuff stuck to the blower wheel. These things seem to be dust/hair magnets. I clean mine after every ton I burn.

To clean the wheel hit it with a tooth brush and compressed air. Should get the fuzzies off it in a jiffy.

So I was a bit leery about taking the blower off the back of the stove, I blew out the motor part, but didn't make too much of a difference, should I slide it out and take the whole blower assemply off and clean the insides? Thanks.

If you have animals, you can bet that have a huge hairball clogging the blower.

Take the whole blower off, I find hair wrapped around the fans all the time.

thnaks, I pulled it off this past Saturday, holy cow, it took me almost an hour to get the entire thing cleaned. It's blowing hot air better than it ever has before!
