Two steps closer

In the last two days we have gotten closer to having a working wood-stove again. Got the chimney, support box and assorted parts sitting in the garage, and today I picked up a 4x8 sheet of Micore 300 with the help of a local lumber supplier. Also had a nice conversation with Mike @ Englander Stoves for a little Tech support. What a great guy, he answered my questions in about 2 seconds, then we talked about the stove and the hearth pad I an in the process of building. He had some great suggestions and I have added them to the plans,
Hearth pad is now sitting in the basement, tiled and the thin set is drying. Chimney will go in tommarrow and with any luck by Saturday we will have a fire in it.

13NC--got a great deal at HD and decided to try one, We sold our last house with and left the stove there, moved in March and started cutting and spliting when we got to the new property(clearing mostly dead and down stuff) 4+ cords of maple, ash and cherry stacked and waiting, but the summer got away from me and so did time to purchase and install a new stove so I was going to wait but I made the leap when I picked up the Englander 13NC at the Depot for $495 last week.
