So I attempted to shutdown my XXV to do a good cleaning on this 60 degree day. Waited and waited, the stove never shut down and was throwing the 3 blink status. So I unplugged it, scraped whatever remaining pellets from the burn pot into the ash pan and took it outside. Performed my cleaning, plugged it in and the same 3 blink status. Sigh....... The combustion and distro blowers are running and the feed motor comes on once every few minutes. I have to think the control board is the issue here?

Turned out to be the ESP. Warranty swap out and back up and running!

Did you do the Hard Reset? 3 blinks requires a manual hard reset. Unplug the stove for a full minute turn the ST RT knob to off and plug it back in.

Yes. It was off for an hour while I cleaned it. Turned it back on with the three blink status. Tried it several times. Pretty sure something is toast. Strange that the stove was runnin fine until I turned it to off so I could clean it. That's when I noticed the three blinks. Been messed up since.

But did you turn the dial to "off" while unplugged? ALso, did you make sure your switch is on auto, I believe if on manual it will stay on. I run off a thermostat and that is how I turn mine off when it gets warm outside. I did put mine on manual before and notched the thermostat down, did not want the fire to go out, then when I went to turn it off I was puzzled when it didn't go out. I dawned on me that I had the switch moved to manual for that day. Put it back to auto and whala...went out. Just a thought or two......good luck. Let us know how it turns out.

Did you UNPLUG the stove from the wall? You need to unplug it THEN turn the knob to off, THEN plug it back in after a minute or two.

I think he took the stove outside to clean it....

Yes, it was unplugged and turned to the off position. But I did not move the switch to auto from manual when I shut the stove down. I did not know the stove wouldn't shut down unless the switch was in auto mode even when the dial is "off". So now when I plug the stove in both fans come on and stay on, the feed motor feeds a few pellets once a minute or so and the 3 blink status is on.

And I didn't take the stove out to clean it I took the ashpan with some hot pellets outside.

So now it seems Ive caused the stove to be in some weird state since I shut down the stove manually since I didn't know the switch had to be in auto. Not sure what to try next. I wonder if I manually light the stove it will get things back in order. Thoughts?

No. I took it out before cleaning out the pipe. The three blink status first occurred while attempting to shut down the stove so I don't think it's the probe. The stove was fine until shutting it down while in manual mode.

You gonna let us know what it was?

Sorry. I updated the original post. ESP was bad.

Okay, thanks! I didn't see the other post, my bad.
