Why use a saw? I simply break them into quarters before I unwrap them. Then rather than completely unwrap them we just take out a quarter at a time and keep the rest in a zip lock bag.
At Dennis suggestion there we did quarter thing and it works great. I only need them on a cold start but the fact that I only need a quarter of one is amazing especially at .79 cents a piece!

Anyway, I don't do that and haven't since I found the Super Cedars. I break the two halves into three pieces each and never have to use more than two to get a burn going. FAST.
