Winter finally arrived, snow, wind, cold, but I can still see the wood shed, and inside is cozy and dry.

Looking good Chief. Stay warm.

Celebrate;

bogydave, I have been kind of wasting it. Weather has been mild and everything in the wood shed is Hickory, Oak, and Ash. But feels good tonight :)

Winter arrived here today, too, with a good 30 mph wind and a light dusting. I've some black locust going into the Endeavor in about an hour or so. Nights like this make me wish I had a 30.

Never wasted if your heat bill is less & your home is warm ;)
Plus; all you have is "good stuff" :)

I burned some spruce for the 3 days of temps above 30. Now 10°, back to birch for the next load.

Steve, the "weather" has plopped itself right on top of us and won't leave. Started snowing about 2:30 this afternoon, and hasn't let up yet. Looks like about 3" so far, with at least that much more to come. First good bit of snow we've had all winter.
I forgot to put the plow back on the tractor after moving wood yesterday, so guess what I get to do tomorrow? :lol: Only takes a couple minutes, but I hate doing it in the snow.
Sounds like you've been getting around a bit better recently. Don't push too hard.

Yes I am PapaD, and the hurt keeps me from "pushing to hard". I am just glad to be doing what I am at the 7 month mark.

Steve, just one word of caution. Remember that snow and ice go sort of hand in hand and in your condition, you do not need to slip on the snow or ice!!!!

Thanks for the reminder Dennis. I sure don't want to do that. I have had a few trips, not bad, but that instinctive reaction to catch yourself hurts! as I am sure you know. The girls in the office reminded me of the same yesterday when it started snowing. That means means you all love me, right! :cheese:

Thanks Dougie. It looks better without all the snow, but I like the snow as long as it doesn't get to deep. Here it is without the snow.

The fact that it is cozy and warm on the inside is all that matters. get it goin and relax.

It sure is. I sit there often, everyday at noon I eat my lunch out there. Even in the winter when I am taking a break. My grandkids kind of created it with the concrete statue of a little boy dressed in firefighter gear they gave me on Fathers Day......and the bench, it just kind of fit together.
