I checked out MSC catalog and found some materials that sound usable. They all come in 1/32 or 1/16. I don't know how to link so if you wish look it up at MSC under gaskets.

graphite/ nitrale 900 deg.

high temp. silicon rubber 600 deg.

fiberglass reinforced silicon rubber 400 deg.

viton 400 deg. ( ?)

I do agree on temp. I'd say at least 1000deg. or above for gasket temperature rating. I put my hand on the blower flange while running on medium and (ouch) its up there at least 500.
