I am looking for others here on Long Island to get together and order a bulk shipment of pellets in the spring when the prices drop i figure if we get a few people to order 2 or three tons each we would be able to get a much better price. just need to figure out what brand to order and then all the other stuff like where to deliver and everything else lets see what we can do to help each other out

i am in for a good quality pellet, not to cut out the local guy but maybe even work with them to get a good quality in off season and they know its sold with no risk to them, if you need a hand putting it together let me know,

I would only order through a local distributor and not the box stores i want to help the smaller shops and order a larger quantity which will also save us money if i can find a few of us i will then talk to a few local stores to get the best price of only premium pellets

Thanks - I'd be interested in 2 tons. I'd probable like to know the details before the end of February. That's the time I normally start looking for bargains.

Ill see what kind of respose i get then ill go look into it and post it on herei think the hard part will be delivery

West Islip here. I'd be interested in 1 ton.

around the end of the month ill look here to see about how many tons people want and go look around for the best deal and post it so if you are interested just let me know how much you want and ill post back before the end of this month so we have time to get everything together

Two maybe four ton.
Located in Hicksville.

Six if my sister joins in from Farmingdale.

glen a truck load should be no issue, when i contacted the manu in the winter they suggested for i to call them in the summer, they would set me up with a dealer, you can use my parking lot on a sat for the unload, plenty of room, if you need to contact me outside email

thanks for the help lets see how many we can get

I would be interested in a ton, maybe 2, depending on the pellet brand.

However, delivery is the main issue for me. I don't have a pickup truck, so the most bags I could fit on my Jeep would be 30. So it might be tough to make a couple of trips in one day.

How do you imagine distribution and pickup?

ps: thanks for exploring this idea

i want to check out both option a pick up and maybe if we have a few locations we will pay less for shipping i dont have a truck either but want to explore having the place deliver them if i went to them and said that i need 20 tons and needed them spread out to 6 locations maybe we can get a better deal on the delivery

well that is the purpose of the forum to kick ideas around, depending on where the pellets come from if its from the manu or dealer could be different options, maybe there could be two drop off locations, or someone could have a larger truck by you etc, i think its in the beginning stage now lets just see how many we can get what brands and what price, hd always rents a truck for 19 for first hr

is this regard, i feel inferior to all the other hearth members with pickups. they just put the entire pallet on the back of their trucks. wah!!!!!

seriously, though, that makes sense.

I would be interested in two tons. If it is a quality pellet at a good price. Keep me posted. I have a friend that might take two as well.

Split a ton with someone that does not have the place to store, or may only burn stove on reeealy cold nights.

If the price is right, I would be interested as well. I could take between 2 and 4 tons. I am in Smithtown.

Thanks.
