Oh believe me....I got some wood to bust into. Started with some rounds of Maple and oak thats been sittin' for a year and a half....ran the darn thing outa gas. Got loads more to of Cherry, Hickory, Oak, and Maple...thats how I convinced the Wife I needed the Splitter....to much to swing a Maul at....and the Snowblower.....I work at a school, and have to shovel there, then come home and shovel here !!!....gettin' too old, need machinery.

I bought the same splitter and have at least 10 cord thru it, very versital at half the price of others.
I read one review where a person had an issue with Fuel in the Oil, and had to install a Fuel Shut Off....have you had any problems like that ???

When I bought my splitter used from a guy in the backwoods, he was trembling so bad from lack of alcohol in his system. He kept saying he needed the money and he asked if I had any beer or whisky with me. I knew I was stimulating the economy.

Awesome splitter. you'll love it.

life got a LOT easier when I found my splitter on Craigslist......and I look forward to splittin the wood just as much as cuttin it!! Yes indeed, life got a lot easier for you with that toy!!

Nifty new devices. I was always hesitant to buy an expensive working item until my dad told me "a good tool pays for itself". Ya know- that makes sense. So I say: nice new TOOLS you got there....

Oh yes indeed, real nice splitter, and that ariens is sweet too!

I'm 52, and I love my simplicity blower, first year I got it we had little snow, and people ribbed me about a useless investment.

The next year we had over 4 feet in back to back nor'easters :)

The blower is perfect for makin' paths to the woodpile if needed.

I also have a 3pt splitter and wouldn't be able to process all my firewood without it!

At the school I work at (Custodian), we have Ariens..9.5 HP....28 inch....haven't had a snow they couldn't handle since we got'em 10 years ago....so I figure, if I get the 11.5 HP...30 inch version, I should be set....the Log Splitter was a no brainer...I too am 52, and swinging a Maul at the amount of wood we use, or paying a rental fee 3 times a year...it just made sense to buy it...took a little while, and a lot of O/T to buy them, but well worth it....it was this forum that convinced me the Huskee was the way to go for the $$$...Thanks!

That's "double dipping" :).
Way to go.
You'll get many years of good work from both.
Time to wear some of the new paint off them bad boys :)
Have fun

The Splitter got to do some work today....more tomorrow....the Snowblower .....well, since I got it, we haven't had a flake of snow....Wife keeps sayin'..."What a shiny Snowblower" everytime we go thru the garage. The trade off is....I gotta go on a Cruise with her this spring....last time, she went with a friend, this time I gotta go....just not my thing

nice tools

if you haven't yet - i'd go through the splitter i'd check and tighten everything up just to make sure whoever put it together did it right. you might want to consider adding an hour meter - i did so i'll know when to change the oil

also for your blower - wouldn't hurt to add a thick coat of car wax to the chute and augers.

Great ideas...Thanks

I kept a can of spray silicone from WalMart handy, when I used an ATV plow in Colorado. Spraying that on the bare metal before each use helped keep the snow from sticking.

I have the same splitter for 4 yrs and works great, have had to tighten a few bolts. Took it with me on a 12 mile trip to split onsite and decided to check wheel bearings before I left, and they had never had been packed with greese, just the little dab that comes with new bearings. I had just been pulling around the place with my tractor so no harm was done.

You are going to love that splitter and wonder how you ever got along without it.
