A few weeks ago I had a very impressive clinker....could use it for a boat anchor... Cleaned the whole system, and it ran good for a while.... Last few days its been cold, and its been running hard....and starting yesterday making clinkers that I could sell to construction companies...

I bought new door gaskets - haven't put em on yet... Going there first... Seems the combustion fan is working ok....but how can you really tell??

Its burning very rich and sooty.....black glass...vent pipes are clear... I just cleaned it yesterday thoroughly.... I have an OAK.

Any suggestions other than door gaskets?

Thanks!

I still thinl you have an air leak. I would definitely get the door gasket changed and ash pan gasket.

My Fahrenheit was used 1 season and was abused pretty bad. Needed a Door, Ash pan, and hopper gasket (not the one one the lid, underneath the actual body of the stove). I could see the flame was being affected by the air shooting out the auger tube (shouldnt be that way).

To be that rich... The leak is pretty considerable. Or you have several leaks.

My Combustion blower has been makin noises the last few days. Took it off and the bearings seem shot. So I talked with Fahrenheit today and have to get my dealers authorization to buy direct (they already told me to).

Can you take a video of the fire and post it on YouTube???

That would help us see how active or lazy it is?

How clean is the exhaust?
Are there any low spots in the oak that could have frozen up?
Have you tried a bag of pellets from another source yet?

Well I went to replace the rope gaskets....fail...I bought 5/8" and it appears the furnace takes 3/4".....so I just took the old ones and reversed them for now LOL....yea I know bad move....but its burning clean at the moment.....130deg air temp at HL3...

OAK isnt frozen and I also have another inlet port to open to inside air if I want, and it still fails with that open.

Exhaust is clean....just swept it out this weekend.

Haven't tried another bag from another vendor.... I have 22 tons of this brand at the moment LOL....There is actually a valid reason for that...

Dexter - do you own the stove store in Brookfield? I am going to have to stop in.

No. Eric at Kinsman Stoves owns the Shop (Hellava guy). I wish I owned and operated a shop.....

I live West of there. Over an Hour and a half west of there.

Hope you get it figured. The gaskets will probably help. At least a little. Maybe a lot. Never know till you do it.

Having 22 tons of fuel must be nice!!!!! I would try and buy a bag of something else. Even if its 1 bag. You have to eliminate all factors.

Ahh ok thanks for the info - sorry for the mixup... Yea I am about 20 minutes East just over the line in PA - will have to stop in there to get the right gaskets...

I acquired the pellets unconventionally - a trade of sorts....so I have to burn em up and sell a few off here and there....

Thanks again for the advice!!

Brand is Eden. They are a startup company... They burn nice and hot... I really think the clinker factory I have is due to air leaks as well....been burning good since I "changed" the door gaskets...

Actually - lost power tonight - running on generator power - and have heat - couldn't do that w/ my heat pump!!
