O'malley's for $210 a ton. Good pellet? Good price?

There OK.. Not super hot but decent heat. The O'Malley plant is just about 40 minutes from me and they quoted me $198/ton. So $210 sound about right..

If it were me I would try to find another brand. But if nothing else was available or that is the lowest price I would buy them.

been using Lignetics for $235 a ton. I'll stick with them.

There is a guy here advertising on craigslist that has the O'Malleys for $210/ton along with some other brands. I was curious but if they are indeed nothing special, that will resolve my curiosity.

My supplier just got these in due to high "customer demand" and in limited stock. I was going to try some but doesn't seem like it's a very popular pellet for the price on this forum. It's advertised as "oak hardwood" and I thought those usually burn very well. So don't bother? Stick to my Barefoots and Spruce Pointes?

Personally I try every brand I come across (3-4 bags). No matter the cost or what others say. I record my thoughts and heat numbers on each brand. You never know, some may surprise you.

$210 is a pretty good price for Omalley's this time of year. I burned a ton of them last season in my P68. Not the hottest pellet around but, they were clean (light fluffy ash). There were quite a few of 2" plus pellets in the mix so, if that's an issue with you stove(?). I was happy with them and would use them again but, they've been going for $230 plus around Central PA and I've found better for less in the off season.

If you're in the Q-town, PA area, I bought Hardwood Heats at TSC off 309 in the beiginning of the season for $204. Much better pellet then O'Malleys. Not sure if they still have them currently.

Where on 309?

Only place I know of on 309 in Q-Town is Wood Heat and they don't carry these.

I burned a ton last year and they weren't too bad. 210 is a good price. Sometimes clumpy ash but they burn just fine. I personally never had a problem with them. I like the area of VA from where they come.
