Nice video. I kind of miss those rolling, ghost-like flames from the Fireview. The Progress has jets of air that disturb the rolling flames - but the increase in heat makes up for it.

Whoa, nice stove!! I get the same "floating flames" with my DW.

From the few videos I've seen it looks like the PH has an awesome fire display. Wonder if you plugged those holes if you would see the old rolling cat flame? Have you called Woodstock yet?

Todd, that sure pooks nice. Never tire of seeing your two hearths.

I purposely try to get that type of fire, rolling ghost flames, when we have guests over. Everyone comments on how cool they look. Of course it doesnt help that i yelling at them hey look at this fire...

Very nice, the keystone is an impressive stove for its size. The 100_1297.mov was pretty cool. The progress youtubes are a firestorm inside the box.

That's awesome! Those are my favorite type of secondaries. Do you get those often with your stove, or do you have to "dial it in" just right for those?

Pretty easy to achieve. After you engage the cat burn it hot for 20-30 minutes then turn it right down to a low burn til the flame starts to lift off the logs. Sometimes they only last a few minutes, other times they can last for an hour like last night.

Very nice secondary's.

I've been tempted to plug those holes a little, but the stove has been so awesome I almost hate to tinker with it. I loaded it up at 4 am this morning, got home at 4 pm today and had a nice warm house and actually had to burn down some coals for the next load! Outside temps around 26F all day. Still need to call WS, if you catch the right person you can really learn some good stuff and pass some ideas back and forth.

Excellent videos Todd.

thanks for sharing the videos

Your cat looks a LOT more active than your dog.

That's one great looking hearth, love it.

Your dog looks a lil intoxicated...prolly from the heat. Mr Gamma kinda lays around like that when I get the 30 rockin and rolling

I always enjoy the videos you share with us, thanks Todd.

Wheres the narration ..cat got your tongue? lol

Nice video and beautiful setup. When I witnessed the ghost flames on my Keystone for the first time I could not believe my eyes. My first reaction to them was "these are ghost flames". I was fascinated by it and called my wife over to see it. She was more entertained by my reaction than by the actual flames.

Yeah, the dog loves the wood heat, She will lay there til she can't stand it anymore and walk away panting but she always come right back.

I think what causes these flames are the holes in the air plate right above the glass that feed air to the cat. You can get some really great looking fires with this stove.

Wow Todd, those are pretty sustained and they fill the top of the box entirely! You are really making me miss my cat stove. I love when they swirl around off the logs and disappear into the cat in bursts. Such a show!

The dog doesn't seem to care ;-)

You can see the pattern of the air wash holes somewhat in the video. Looks like if you cut the air a little more, you would get the cool-looking "undulating ribbon" burn.
That hearth looks great!
