Noticed a crack in my feeder tube in between the auger and burn pot. Called dealer, not open, can I still burn pellets in it? What's the worst that could happen? Is this something that would be under warranty my stove is 4 years old.

Thanks,
Dan

Try reading the owners manual for warranty info, or the HARMAN website.

there is a joint there, but if its a hole, its likely wear cause by higher than expected heat at the bottom of the burnpot. Im guessing that if you look into your burnpot, its got 5 holes all by themself at the bottom? Yeah, I thought so.

This is generally covered under the stove warrantee as long as the unit is less than 5 years old (which yours is). The bad news is it isnt an easy fix, and will likely mean that your stove will have to be removed, brought to the shop, and reworked (a new feeder weldment). I dont think I would do this in the customers' home, as its somewhat messy, fairly involved, and just WAY easier to do on a workbench rather than sitting on the floor in someones living room. The repair in the shop would be several hours.

Does it look like this? (look at the last pic in p2 of the post)
