picked up my unit from the dealer on Saturday; finishing prepping the chase and hoping to drop the unit in later this week.

But the fan control is my current thought process. Already had a switch/wiring into the chase for the old fireplace blower. I ordered the blower with the unit and was reading up on the install and can't wrap my mind around the fan control is in the unit along with the recepticle for the blower. They mention the wall mount in their directions but don't give any further discussion to it.

So here is what I am currently thinking....
The unit came with a 3 amp rotary fan control switch for the unit.
I am thinking replace it with a 5 amp (3 amp does not seem to be common) fan control wall switch and mount it in place of the current wall switch from the old unit (next to the unit).
replace the current faceplate that was designed to hold both the switch and the outlet recepticle for the blower with a single receptcle and new metal wall palte for inside the box to plug the blower into.

I will call Kozy Heat this week to confirm but I can't be the first one to run into this...any thoughts?

It looks as though they'd like the control to remain in the unit. I wanted a wallmount as well. I installed a regular duplex receptacle inside the unit. I also took the variable switch out of the stock receptacle and mounted it inside a single gang elect. box on the wall. I used 12-2 wire from the outlet in the unit to the variable switch on the wall. Power comes into the wall box and thru switch over to the outlet where the fan is plugged in.
