Three online banking sites I used are inaccessible. One just said I couldn't log on right now, another claims it closed for maintenance, and another allowed me to log on, but I can't access any statements.

Did the dollar just collapse or something? I'm always the last to hear about these things . . .

I would call the toll free number on your debit card. They usually have 24 hr numbers.

These were three different banks. I imagine that they all can come up with reasonable explanations, but meanwhile jumping to conclusions is more fun than calling a toll-free number.

I remember many years ago noticing the moon turned red one evening. Did I think forest-fire-is-creating-smoke-and-changing-the-color-of-the-moon? No, I did not. My first conclusion was that the sun had gone into super-nova on the other side of the earth, and the polar ice caps were going to melt and the level of the oceans would rise, and shouldn't we all be moving to higher ground?

It's just the way I think. And now, in case you had any doubts, you know what it is that you are moderating . . .

tell me you didn't use the same passwd on all three accounts...

I did not. Just because I'm prone to paranoid delusions doesn't mean I'm not sensible.

I just had the same issue with Citi

You lead a funner life than I. ;-)

Sounds like the Feds froze your accounts. Are you being indicted for something? :red:

Look for the helicopter above your house and men in cheap suits knocking at your door.

Bad Snow...Bad! ;-P

Sounds like here, but I sometimes get a bit dyslexic, and put the wrong passcodes into the wrong banks websites.

Nothing like being locked out of your own money to get the panic button well and truly pushed......... ;-)

USAA does that junk seems like everytime I need to get on there to check my accounts or pay a bill. "unavailable/maint" or something like that. For bank that relys almost only with online banking it sure is down often.

Snow - you dabbling with supplying Iran with stuff again???

popple and birch, popple and birch. Don't even have to send it out seasoned, and I cost-plus shipping charges. I trust this is not a problem?

Only if you try to do it through their bank. If you are getting enriched uranium back, no problem.

umm . . . does this mean that I don't have to pay my cc bill? How do they freeze debts, anyway? That sounds like it might be a good thing.

I wish you hadn't brought up the cheap suits. They hate it when I rub their lapels and give them the polyester content--just starts things off on the wrong foot . . .

We may need a new forum at h.c, where we could submit pictures of our pets glowing in the dark . . .
