Wood hogs don't produce chips, they produce a ground wood product which is drastically different than chips actually.
Correct.
Although with the right tooth inserts and anvil most can be made to produce chips.

No harm done.
I can't help it that some people live in a box.
eBay woodn't exist if it wasn't a safe marketplace.
Numbers tell the whole story.

Well...it would be a reduction in lifestyle, but I could live on it. :)

I'd actually rather look at equipment in its work clothes instead of shined up and painted. Often you'll see things that you'd never have noticed, or simply could not see, if there were 2 shiny coats of paint hiding it.

This is an amazing # for eBay sales considering as an example Fords gross sales were around 35 Billion . Ford is selling products that average prolly around $30K each and ebay is moving alot of $5-$30 stuff.

In no way was I diminishing the staggering amount. I find fleebay to be an amazing place. Just bought a 16GPM pump for $109 (new) for another splitter build (a small one for the cabin. 3.5" ram - 16GPM pump - gonna be fast).

I couldn't agree more! Usually if it is painter up real pretty, that's a flag to stay away from it. Not always, but in my experiences anyway.....

I didn't take it that way. It is an amazing place!
I was just noting further and enforcing the fact that if it wasn't a safe marketplace they woodn't be around or generate this kind of sales volume.
I bought 2 used trailers for a song , sight unseen (except for photos) recently that wood have cost me $32,000 each new. They were 6 hours away and all I did was call the guy and did a little research before I pulled the trigger. I've have no regrets about any purchase I've made on eBay. Like Pete said you just have to use your head.

Lee I love eBay, buy off of there all the time, and enjoy browsing through your items....that chipper is one scary ass piece of equipment.....great your helping a buddy out by trying to sell it.....

Lee... sorry you got so emotional, and needed to try and make me seem dumb for saying the obvious. I really didn't mean to upset, or hurt your feelings. Its not rocket science that MOST people... (not all, or the elite pro's in the know on this site) won't buy something unless it looks nice. I never even said anything bad about your equipment. I stand by what I said earlier and don't buy into the whole preffering the "work clothes look". That's like saying I don't trust that equipment is good, because it looks too much like the person took care of it.

You didn't upset me. I list and sell alot of stuff and this is just another. You obviousLEE don't know your ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to sawmill equipment or the eBay market place. Some one who does will appreciate the value. The machine will sell paint or no paint .

Well, gentlemen, perhaps we should just leave it at that and move on. Shuttin' 'er down now. Rick
