Can I fill my englander nc 30 with black locust or not I'm not
Shure if it will over fire it or not

I fill my stove with it when its really cold out. I can't believe you couldn't do that with any stove.

Sure you can fill your stove with locust. It won't over fire, will just last longer.

Locust Post,

I saw your sig said you have a "Fire Boss". I grew up in a house heated with one of those. What a great stove, it belched buckets of heat.

My father still has it, plans on installing it in a garage

Hey GY.....yes I do and still love it. Mine is an insert. I took it out this Fall and went all over it. A very good friend that has a fab shop made an adapter for me and I direct connected it to a single piece stainless liner. My BIL had a regular step stove version and I believe the person he sold the house to still uses it. I've thought about replacing it and trying a new EPA stove but just can't bring myself to spend the money yet.......who knows some day. I may be able to cut my wood useage some but I only go through about 4 cords now and get 8 to 10 hr burns. Have access to plenty of wood so you see my hesitancy. She also burns better now than ever before.

when you refill it you will have no hair left on your knuckles if you are not wearing gloves.

Yes gloves are a must. "If you play with fire you'll get burnt"
