Feeling the Heat
I'm fishing around for a good set to try, what you all using?

I believe mines an 09
And I leave the bottom 3 at 6-4-1

Right now, burning Hamer's, bottom factory settings: 3-7-1. Running stove on 1 feed / 2 blower. Have stove in living room, 38 degrees & rainy outside, 85 degree inside with 2 windows open & ceiling fan running.

Matter of fact, I just shut her down. Will give her a good cleaning on the inside, after it cools & shuts off. Will turn her back on tonight when things cool off, inside & out.

As CT Guy mentions above, and AFAIR, the PDV comes with 6-4-1 from the factory. BUT, every set-up is different, so "tweaks" may have to be made.

My 10-cpm comes with 1-4-1 from the factory, but my set-up needs 3-5-1 to get good heat.

Mines an 03 and btm settings 2-7-1
heat range 2, blower 9
85* in stove room, 74* in bedroom, 72* in kitchen, 72* in bath
today was 40's outside
don't run heat range above 3, when outside has dipped to the teens and still maintain 68-70* in other rooms.
Total sq. ft. under 900.

I messed with mine for a while and happily settled on 321. I get a little over 24 hrs/bag depending on the size of the pellets when set to 1 - 9. I also have ~ 30 feet of 4" going up the chimney causing a strong draft. For me too much air = no heat.
I found that slowly dropping the intake air/ to pellet feed down till you get a lazy flame - then bumping the air up one value worked the best for me.
Good luck.
