The wife & I are heading to Pittsburg PA. this weekend to visit her sister & family. Anybody know of any Barefoot or Oakies pellets in that area. Have not ever seen them in my area. If I could find them out there, some where, I would pick up several bags of each to trial or any other kind that that area has that are good. I'm sure to take Friday or Saturday & visit a Lowes or HD or 2, to see what brands they are carrying.

I guess there are no pellet burns in Pittsburg or should I say, on this forum site.

Or at least any that burn the pellets you requested...

Why not call Barefoot and ask them if they have any dealers there?

I believe Pittsburg is very near Harisberg, PA!

Pittsburgh...I think he means the town with the Super Bowl Team...We cheer the Pittsburgh Steelers!!!

Sorry...Had to do it, It's the Red eye talkin'!!!

I am about 1.5 hrs North of Pittsburgh... I have about 16 tons of Edens left that I have for sale at $200/ton....

Have arrived in Pittsburg last evening. Now today I'm going on tour looking for different name brand pellets, that I have never tried. I did make a few calls yesterday, from searches on the internet, from home and found a few I have never tried. There is a place in Butler, about 20 mins. north of where I'm at, that had Smiths, Appalachian, & Green Gold. The Smiths & Appalachian where $5.00 a bag & the Green Gold where $5.99 a bag. There where a couple others also, but will hit a couple Lowe's & Home Depot's, to see what they have.

Picked up a few bags of Greene Gold today, to test out.

Looks like you're gonna take a leak on them!!! ;-)

Are they that bad!! They had Smiths & Appalachians also. Thought I seen better remarks on here for Greene Gold. O-well, had bad pellets before, only bought 3 bags.

I believe he was commenting on your pose in the picture, not the quality of the pellets. Take another look at the photo.

LOL!! It does look that way for sure. Was taking the picture with my cell phone, so I laid them out on the ground & was bending over them to get a good pic..

Got to test a bag of these Greene Gold last night. I clean the stove tonight, before running them again tonight. They seemed to burn good. Next to no fines in the bags with fine, light burnt ash. There not the hottest pellet I have burnt but do think they would make a good shoulder season pellet. It only got down to 40 degrees outside last night & it kept the the living room, where pellet stove is, right around 75 degrees. I do now burning like Hamers or Somerset, when its like 25 degrees outside, the living room gets up to like 80 degrees. The pellet lengths are kinda long compared to like Hamers or Somerset. If I had to give a average length, I would say the Greene Gold average alittle over 1" long. Hamers average around 1/2" long & Somerset would average around 3/4" long. I had no problems with the longer lengths going thru stove at all. At times you can hear a long pellet getting snaped into by auger. But no jams of anykind happened. I would say, I could burn these as a shoulder pellet.
