Mostly have been running in stove temp mode and since day 1 even at highest settings could not get feed rate to increase, pellets always within couple+ inches of pot edge, heat was fine so ignored it. Recently tried room temp control and can't get feed rate to decrease, pellets practically (some do) overflowing the burn pot. Have ran in room temp mode occassionally prior without the overflow problem. Possible I could have pinched a wire last time I had it out.

Feed rate test function does work so know this pot does something. Stove does get weekly cleanings for everything short of pulling it out which is done annually. In reading the manual appears I'm running with a return air sensor setup.

Appreciate any help or places to start looking, thanks

Room probe is located in the side return air holes, bottom left side of stove

Well there are two things I'd try.

1: Make certain the air slots and probe are clean and that the probe is off of the hearth floor (this includes not having the probe held against the metal grill work).

2: Clean the ESP in the stove's exhaust path.

I agree with the poster above clean the ESP probe in the rear of the unit. Yes, you'll have to pull the unit out for that. My other recommendation is to move the room temp probe. I know the manual suggests putting in the location you have it. Fact of the matter is the stove will run FULL POWER forever. Its the coldest air possible in the room just above floor level. Its crazy they suggest putting it there. I recommend extending it away from the stove a few feet even adding thermostat wire works well. With all that said...I really never run my stove in room temp mode. I like tweaking the stove and managing it myself.

Thanks for ideas guys.

This weekend looks hopeful for time to check it out. Getting the stove put back in is a chore and have never paid any real attention to how/where the probe is just to not pinch the wires. Will be changing it to use as a room sensor. Plus if I pull it out part way then just a bit further to get at the ESP probe which can then also clean the exhaust section out. I've always used stove temp as a means to control/limit my pellet use to 2 bags a day. When spring comes along or even a 40 degree day like today running in room temp control I would think allow me to cut back on pellet consumption.

As Suggested before , move the Probe away from the stove and the floor. I have mine about 5 Feet away and about 4 feet off the ground, away from any direct draught.
I have run mine in Room Temp since I got it and havent had any problems with temps or burning too much. I have Hall thermostats, and they show the temps from the stove settings to be pretty close.

had you pinched a wire, which is certinly possible- its easy to do with that unit, you'd likely be getting a status light blink error
