I just acquired a Thelin stove that needs an auger motor, at 180.00. Wondering if anyone knows the auger rpm so I can buy a Dayton gearbox at Grainger for a lot less money. Thanks as always.

Not stamped on mine, bummer. In black A4 handwritten on side?

Try removing the motor, hooking it up to a test cord and seeing if it runs with out the auger attached, if it does you can time it.

It is a DC motor so no test cord to AC. Hooked it up to truck battery and no go. Ill just bite the bullet and whine a lot. Thanks

Well a test cord is a test cord and if it is a DC motor a battery is what I'd hook my test cord up to also.

I was curious if it was dead or it no longer could turn the auger. I've seen motors turn fine, and what they attach to turn fine but when coupled together no turn at all.

There aren't any other markings on the motor coils or the gear box. A manufacturers name would help as well.

Made by Multi Products in Racine, WI. Spent an hour trying to match the numbers up but no luck. Oh well.
