This on my cab50. The manual says 4 to 8 inches out of pot on high. I have adjusted the fuel rate. How does the height look. I burn the stove on medium. The flame looks orange because of the flash.

Thanks

Matt

I can't tell you the best flame height. Years ago I was adjusting my flame height to what the internet opinion was here. Then I bought a meat probe with the digital meter(2 foot cord from probe to meter) attached. I started adjusting draft on the middle heat setting to get the most amount of heat output. When I got the most heat output, the flame was clipping the heat tubes. I don't care about flame height, just max heat output. Been running this way for 5 years and haven't seen it present any problem. Just my 2cents.

I only run mine on medium and this "looks" about like an "average" flame. I have never adjusted my feeder pulley thingy.
Granted some pellets will cause a helluva flame. I have definitely gotten the upper limit before.
