The stove always gets cleaned good twice a week. This week life got in the way and was cleaned only one time. It was burning fine before the cleaning. After the cleaning it was a smoldering fire and was being fed to Manny pellets I think.I do not know what has changed. I checked the thermal coupler per the owners manual thinking I may have bumped it. It is in the burn pot about an inch and the cover is against the wirer . I took a coat hanger and checked that the burn pot holes are clean. I do not thing it is a fuel problem ( bad or wet pellet) as it burned fine before the cleaning.I do not think it is a feed gate adjustment as it burned fine before.I pulled the ingniter plate off and vacuumed out the igniter box which did not have much fines in it. My plan to night is recleane the burn pot with a stiff wirer brush and check the bun pot holes and move the thermal coupler in some. I am burning Ligetics in this stove and my new P68 . I will send pictures of the new basement install which is working out better then expected for a no insulation stone basement. when I figure out how to re size them for the web site. So does any one have any suggestion's on my quad as I am out of Idea's on it. Thanks for any and all input.

When did you last clean the venting, its termination cap, combustion blower, the cavity it sits in , the paths both out to the vent and back to the firebox?

When did you last test your door gasket?

I am with the bear on this, clean the venting. Not just tapping it, a good cleaning with a brush.

I pulled the exhaust fan out and cleaned it and vacuumed out the housing and the secondary ash box with a vacuum and the pipe to the top with a brush about 2 or 3 weeks ago.I might have burned 15 20 bags since that pipe cleaning. I did not check the door gasket with the dollar bill but did tighten up the jam nut on the latch for the glass door as it was lose but did re adjust the ash pan door latch this morning so it had a more positive cam over ( snap) when locking.

You may have tightened up one side only to cause the opposite side to no longer make a good seal. Time to test, looks are deceiving when it comes to gaskets.

Double check that the burn pot clean out door is completely closed and/or that the pull rod hinge mechanism hasn't come apart. That happened to me once.

X2 on this.

Clean out slightly open will make a lazy fire...

I dont think its feeding to many pellets. Your not getting the air needed to burn them, before more are dropped.

The design of the Ash pan gasket and Door gasket are finicky. Like Smokey said, looks can be deceiving. Check all gaskets.

Waiting for pics of the new Harman... ;-P

Smokey thanks I will get my dollar bill out to night and give it the once over on both doors. T bone thanks for the pull rod info.I was given this stove 4 years ago because it did not work. That was why it did not work because the sliding door did not close compleatly do to rust.

Update T Bone man gets the prize. When I got home from working at the store I went back over the Quard. Sure as Sh--- I missed the secondary door that closes off the ash draw and it had popped off of the rod. I had forgotten about that door. I only checked the burn pot door to be fully closed the day before. Thanks guys for the help.
On a side note the P68 in the uninsulated basement rocks now with my duct work hooked to it and a T stat wired in to it from the dinning room.I can t think of the contributor who wrote a long post about t stats and Harman propes but koodoow to you as well sir. Two weeks ago when it was 2 degrees out with both stoves going in this 4000 square foot old farm house it was 71 in my living room and no oil was being used unless my bride wanted hot water. It olny took a little over 3 bags between both stoves in a 24 hour time line to do it. Thanks again for all the help.
