I have the OAK unit that is connected to my vent. I have the flex pipe taped to the intake and the OAK itself. Should it be taped or just lay in the intake pipe? I'm assuming not taped would then draw air in from the house itself.

Not sure how it could "lay in the intake pipe." Your OAK pipe should be large enough to fit OVER the intake pipe on your stove. What size air pipe are you using? P43 requires 3" if I remember correctly.

Hm my pipe came with the OAK from the dealer. Looks to be 2 in so I layed it in the intake and use foil tape to close it off. I am planning to buy a new vent this spring so that may be added to the list. All seems to be working well though.

I also have flex pipe for the OAK that I got from the dealer.....mine also fits inside the Oak intake on the stove (its a tight fit) the flex pipe is 3" and it works just fine
