I have a 3 year old Qudra Fire Pellet Insert resently it will not ignite on its own, after I push the reset button it does ignite does anyone have any ideas what it might be. Qudra Fire is no help they refer me back to the dealer I bought it from they're not very good. The unit will try to turn on when the thermostat sends the signal it feeds pellets but the igniter doesn't seem to turn on.

Thanks for any help.

If there is fuel in the pot and the igniter is actually on, the likely problem is one of reduced air flow due to ash around the igniter or in the holes around the igniter.

Basically anything that reduces the air flow past the igniter and into the burn pot where the unburned pellets are will prevent proper lighting.

It doesn't appear the igniter is on it doesn't turn Red if I push the reset button on the stove the igniter will get red and the stove will ignite.

Thanks for your reply.

Well usually an igniter works or it doesn't and the only thing other than a control unit issue and what I mentioned would be loose connections.

With the stove off, unplugged, and cold, I'd start looking for loose connections including where the control box plugs in.
