I plan on posting a photo of my basement layout to give a better idea of my setup; it's a mess though still doing re-con work.

The 5100i I seen have the two side windows that are always dirty. Maybe if you burn it hot they clear up?
The fire Box is 3.1 on the 5100i is same size as the Lopi.
Does anyone know if the Lopi freedom Bay loads N/S (same length as the 5100i)

Thanks,
Chris

The freedom bay same as my liberty will take a 16in log max N/S but it will be close to the glass. I keep them cut around 14 or 15in so there is more room between the glass and the air wash.

The airwash system works pretty good on Quads...as long as you are burning well seasoned wood and keep the stove at the correct burn temps.

The side windows on my 4100i usually stay clean.

I have not measured mine n/s but I swear If it won't fit e/w it WILL fit n/s. Maybe I am crazy. I will check once I get the new furnace up and running and I can let the stove cool down for a bit.

I have 19+" n/s but that is TIGHT to the glass. I cut at roughly 17" or 18". This way I can still fit a straggler that was too long.

Quad for life ,

Have you had any door gasket issues with your 4100i ?

Only been using 1+ years but everything is workin' great.

3 seasons with our unit....just did the "dollar bill test" yesterday since the weather warmed up. Passed the test with no issues - gaskets still in good condition.

Has anyone bought an insert/stove just a tad big for their room and gets to hot?

If so, can you get away with building a smaller fire in the box
To produce less heat.

I'm assuming this works out with the EPA system still?
