Looking for the name of the manufacturer of this 70's era fireplace. No stamp or plaque to be found, anyone know who made it? Image is attached...Also advice on install would be helpful.

With no tag or certification.. instal instructions are:

36" from anything.

And I would for sure ask my insurance agent before I moved on it.

Installation...To be safe and within code, you need the manual that lists Clearance To Combustibles (CTC). Or from the plate on unit (which you don't see). Without that data, it becomes an unlisted appliance and requires 36" in all directions CTC. And I don't have a clue as to manufacturer. Where it sits in your pic looks quite unsafe with wood wainscoting close by.
Another issue...is this totally for ambiance? Don't want to heat house any? This fireplace may actually lower house temp (esp as wood burns down) by sucking warm house air up the chimney.

I wouldnt trust anything that has a screen across the front. Especially that big.

Found it. It is a Malm “Fire Jesterâ€. You might be able to get info from the company. I found the info and that same pic you posted but the lady that posted the info on another site said that stove is in Orlando, Florida.

Seem to remember seeing one very similar in the ski lodge when I was young...

There are so many masons in AZ that would build something like this for a very reasonable price, they are starving.

The picture is not my actual fireplace, I have the same exact fireplace I want to install. Not for heating, I understand it will not be the most efficient set up...Just for the occasional fun fire. Thanks to those who helped me, it is a Malm and I am contacting company for info.
