Need done.
Looks like the weather is perfect for it :)
What kind of wood?

That would be ash. looks like an easy haul, just be careful cutting that hanger down.

I believe it to be ash, the hanger may wait. I was going to try and pull it down with the quad, but if its too muddy, it will have to wait.

I bet the "ol' lady" can cut and haul that in no time! :)

LMAO  oh...she will be the hauler all right. She's the type of girl that will get it stuck too, "cause its fun!"

Backwoods, that is definitely white ash and splitting like that is very typical of that tree. One other thing is that it is very easy to get a barber-chair effect when cutting ash down. One thing we've seen is someone cutting with a small saw and/or a dull one which means cutting slower. That cutting slower will tend to make the tree barber chair, especially if it is leaning and heavy on one side with limbs. So just be aware of it. On the other hand, I think I've had a total of 2 ash trees do the barber chair. One of those I called ahead of time. I told our neighbor that it would do it and he about flipped. lol No harm done though.

Hey, I think I saw that tree last week on one of my jobs. Or one somewhat similar. It was in the Lehigh Valley area. Where in PA are you.

Thx for the advice Dennis. I will put all possible situations into account. I may leave it, I may pull it down, I may just stare at it. :long:

dammit don't tease me like that Zap. I hope we get some, but I doubt it will amount to anything. Fingers crossed.....lol.....

I don't think there is a lot of moisture with that system. It is supposed to go south of us and that is fine.
