new guy needs help with stove selection and design

Ok Folks be gentle,

I am building a small cabin (14'x28') and want a small wood burning stove to sit in corner. Not much room in there so I need as little clearance between walls and stove as safely possible. I would like to run the pipe out the wall behind the stove and up above the roof line. I am also planning to put a partial wall above the stove to mount my tv on.

Here are my questions.

1- stove recommendations?
2- any concerns with running my pipe out the wall and up?
3- any issues mounting my tv above the stove on the partial wall? Thinking of putting a heat shield behind the wall where the tv is to protect the tv and wires from heat off the pipe.

Lopi Republic or Endeavor woul have the best clearances (4.25" rear), but might heat you out of the place.

Not sure exactly how you mean to mount the TV, but here's our set up, TV never even gets warm:

My only concern about your envisioned setup is the TV above the stove on the partial wall. I would be concerned about the heat coming off the stove being hard on the TV. Other than that, it sounds like you will have a nice sized cabin. No strong recommendations on the stove. You need to look around. Most people who own stoves, like the ones they bought. Many options out there. I bought a cast stove and like it. It looks nice to me and throws the heat as most stoves do. I am hoping for a long life out of it.
 
My stove will be in a corner and I envision a wall above the stove running wall to wall with the pipe behind it. The wall will be big enough to mount my TV so that my TV hangs above my fireplace in the corner. The pipe will run out the wall of the house and up above roof line.
 
Hmmm....I think I get it. An alcove. Try looking at alcove tolerances for stove installs to get an idea of what you'll need clearance wise for your wall. The TV might end up practically at the ceiling.

Our stove top regularly hits 700 degrees and you can cook on it. Most stoves will have heat shielding on the sides or back, but not on the top or front-this is where your heat for your room/home radiates from. I can touch the paneling behind my stove and it will be warm (like a sun warmed wall) when the stove is running, but I have to use gloves to take the steamer off the top-and I put that on the step top.
 
This does not sound like the best of plans, particularly if the outside chimney is going to be relatively short. That can lead to funky performance. I particularly don't like the idea of closing in the wall above the stove to hang a TV on it. Heat rises and that horiz section of pipe is going to need clearances honored. I'm sure there is a better solution. Think hard about going straight up with the chimney.
