They closed our local trap and skeet club a couple of years ago, and look at it now... They are using it as a dumping ground for all the wood that the power company has cut. Such a waste watching all that wood just lay there.

It's in Gaithersburg, and I have no idea who owns it now, but there is a VERY STRONG gate and lock on it. So I am thinking, that would be a no :-( If I ever see anyone there I will ask and then post more info!!!

Ughhh....that's painful to see....look at all those btus

That is pitiful......you would think that they would rather give it to someone who could use it, than to let it sit around and rot (not to mention clutter the area up). makes me MAD >:-(

Wonder if they'd sell their traps?

They are all empty... Nothing is left there except the shells of the buildings.

It is really depressing to see

Wow! That is a real waste. Given the problems with unwanted critters and varmints moving in and the mess from rotten wood, you would be doing them a favor to remove the wood.

damn that sucks

I got a friend that works for Mont. Co. Parks, I think that they have a wood dump, it might be worth a call to them, or better go to one of their "shops" and check in person, more likely to get better results. NO is easy on the phone!

What a waste indeed

agree wasteful.... looks more like a firewood club. if such a thing exists.

Too funny, I work for the county police and your right I might have to take a trip over or ask a park PD officer.

Is that the club that moved to Millington?

I don't know I always shoot at Izaak Walton in Poolesville. I went there once and they wanted 9 bucks for a round of skeet. Where it was 2.50 in poolesville at the time.
