Forecast just revised. Now a trace to 2 inches. Now back to my chanting, "no snow, no snow, no snow"

OK, its Sat. morning still waiting?
Glad i didn't register the snowmobile.
I,ll be draining the fuel with stabilizer in it from last year.
Put fresh fuel and stabil in it for next year.
I'ts not worth the 4-5 hr ride to find snow.
From what i,ve heard conditions farther north are ok but not fantastic.

well that sure was a let down....barely a dusting here in NW CT

cant make any money like this

Those do look nice, so does no spill Jill.

There was a gas can in the video?

Yes there are nice cans in the video :)

Indeed. I'd like to get my hands on a set of those cans.

What is with the two handed operation on these things.
The Jill Jugs look better than most of the other new ones I have seen.
But, how do you empty those into something that has a side mounted fuel cap (car/truck) ?
Most people (myself included), rest the spout on the entry of the filler neck.
I don't see those spouts holding up a 5 gallon jug.

I still don't understand the legislation of why they changed them at all.
If the idea was to prevent vapors from escaping how does spilling a bunch all over the place help out.

More feel good politics from the morons that can't hold a real job.
Washington doesn't need an enema....It needs to be excavated and returned to the Patomac swamp that it grew from.

I did enjoy the videos. :)

Well, Im not married, so, Im safe! Got to go buy me a powerball ticket tonight, win a few hundred million, then, Im guessing I'll have to fight all the "no-spill" Jills off! Its amazing how much better looking a guy gets when he's rich!

Lame storm! I hate when meteorologists get everyone hyped up for a big storm and then it turns out to be no big deal.

At 4:00 AM the Snow Mobile'rs were thinking they had something to ride on today! Sky sputtered out 1/2 by noon. Sun came out and poof all gone! I didn't even need to shovel. :cheese:

Forecast here is for 1.5 inches but as of now the lawn/cars have about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch and there is nothing on the street.

It's 30 outside and 75 inside the house which is all that matters.

I actually had a flake land and stay frozen on my car windshield for a half second, it was pretty scary.

Salty, the snow was cancelled due to a lack of interest. :)

However, the cold is coming....going down to about 15 tonight here, and not above 32 tomorrow. The good news: temps will climb back to the high 40's by Thursday. OH YEAH!!

Jay,

I have 2 snow blowers and 1 generator with bad carburetors due to fuel issues.

I use Sta-Bil Marine and Seafoam in all stored gas.

I just re-built my Stihl Chainsaw (again) 3x in 3 years to keep it running.

I think I am getting to the point of buying a gallon of gas for each time I need to run a machine.
Then open burning off any unused fuel. Makes great environmental impact sense (F'ing EPA)
Goes along with the stupid "new" gas storage spouts on jerry cans. I have given up trying to find a good one.
I just free pour without a spout and spill all over the place. (Again, great EPA head-up-ass theory)

It no longer pays to keep gas stored at home.

Think I may look into converting small engines over to propane or diesel and lose the ethanol problems.

---Nailer---
I dont like ethanol either but some people swear they dont have any trouble with it at all not sure I understand why this is.

Ask any boat owner. They won't need to say anything. The firey look in their eys will say it all! What gets me is I treat all my gas with stabil or seafoam. I normally don't use anything but fresh gas. I dump the old stuff in the gas hogs tank. and keep everything as fressh as possible and fresh treatment. I was surprised to see the corrosion and decay in the carb. A clean and rebuild would only make it fun with full choke. Minute you opened the choke it quite! New carb has been on order for over 6 weeks and still no sign. Must be a run on these as its only for the snow engines! Good thing the shovel doesn't need gas to go! :red:

I have heard from multiple people only to use the highest octane in small engines. Won't damage the carbs like the regular stuff. I don't know if its accurate but thats what I use....time will tell
