There was an article in today's online edition of the Bangor Daily News (bangordailynews.com) about the owners of Maine Woods Pellets, Corinth Wood Pellets and Geneva Wood Fibers meeting with an official from the USDA to convince them to promote the use of wood pellets. The owner of Northeat Pellets out of Ashland was supposed to be there as well, but he wasn't mentioned in the article. I tried to post a link, but being semi computer illiterate, I was unable to do so. It was mentioned in the article that Corinth is only running at 50% capacity, which surprised me. I've gotten the impression on here that MWP is pretty much at full capacity and they are larger than Corinth, so I would have thought they were running full out as well. I don't know what's going on with Geneva. If the USDA start telling everybody how great pellet heat is, we'll be paying as much as oil burners!
