Haven't been able to find alot of info on this:

I have a hearth mounted pre-epa jotul 3 and I'm looking to find a fan I can stick in the back of the (fireplace) firebox to blow some heat out from under or over the stove. All I can seem to find online are blowers to specifically install on wood stoves, but I'm looking for a fan I can just put back there, plug in and go. I can route the power down through the ash catcher to the basement. So far the "Quiet Fireplace FAn" is the closest candidate.

anyone have any ideas here?

I have seen a computer fan used in this aplication.

I currently use a dual squirrell cage fan that i robbed out of an over the stove microwave unit for free. Just be sure to also get the capacitor with it and ussually on the fan shrouds there will be a simple diagram for wiring it up. two speed although i never use high i made a simple cover for it from a piece of sheet metal bent 90. It runs pretty quietly on low and moves a large amount of air. If youre handy this could be a viable soultion much cheaper than those $100 plus blowers.
