The top auger has been getting really jammed lately. I mived the metal plate all the way out and it still fetters stuck at least once a day. What does everyone do to prevent this? Thanks

Did you follow the alignment instructions?

What pellets are you burning and have you checked them for extra long pellets?

Is the auger jamming at the backwards angled metal piece between the two augers?

reaccuring top auger jams usualy are the result of longer than normal pellets getting caught in the drop chute between the augers , to access this drop chute , pull the LOWER auger and look in from the back and upwards, you should actually be able to see the blockage, poke in through the opening in the back and dislodge the stuck fuel and then rock the top auger around to free it up observing that the fuel should fall all the way through to the lower tube unfettered.

The pellets do have some longer pieces in the bags. Not alot of them though. I guess this is the problem. Just weird the auger isn't powerful enough to break free.

the force of the auger is linear. its directed straight forward, what happens is the pellets fall through the drop chute drawn down only by gravity, hey get caught there and teh drop chute fills up, the force of the auger then drives the pellets still i the auger straight forward against the front of the tube

all my 25-pdvc jams have been the result of fines getting jammed up. using an old collander, i simply sift the last couple pounds of pellets at the bottom of the bag. you'll be amazed how much sawdust falls out with some pellets. no jams since!!

Wow it so jammed its unreal! I pop the cover off the back to get at it. It was like curling weights! I'm buff now! Lol really... not funny wish Englander had better customer service! Smart guy says " well must be the pellets" yea its easy to take back 3 tons of pellets, the store wouldn't have a problem with this.. seriously I am pissed! Stove turns a month old in a week FML!
