Burning Hunk
I haven't burned Ambiance in a few years....saw a fresh truckload today so i thought I'd try a few 4 bags to re-test the current production run! ;-) I will post results later.....but they do smell exactly like Cubies! ;-P

Id be interested to see your results. The place i buy from usually has them on sale for a pretty reasonable price. I came close to trying them this season but it seemed they get very mixed reviews

I've burned 2 of 3 pallets I bought this year and just love them!!..Best pellet by far I've had.
They burn clean and hot.
Get some if you can. I'm hoping my dealer gets more but he is waiting as they apparently ran out a month ago at the factory.
Great pellet, IMO.

OK.....I, just poured bag #2 into the hopper and was VERY impressed with bag#1! :) The heat was excellent and the ash was very low. The glass dirtiness is comparable to Cubies or any of the other top-shelf hardwoods. I am actually surprised at how well these have burned so far, and surprised at myself for neglecting them for a few years, as the availability around here has been very good. Mind Y'all......MY testing is nowhere near as scientific as J-Takeman's, but I'm pretty experienced at this pellet testing obsession......and visually the ash is low, the heat is much higher than a shoulder pellet, the fines are low, and the glass is cleaner than a junky pellet! :) I will give my thumbs -up to purchasing this fuel (if you can find them). In fact.....I think 2-3 tons will be ordered tomorrow, unless bag #2 turns into a disaster! And BTW....they are a nice, shiny, dense pellet with a pretty strong bag to boot! All that said....I like them alot! :)

Hubbards Farm had them on sale for $260/ton but i just looked and they arent that price anymore

Camerons in Farmington had them past few years, but price was to high. Tried a few bags last year. Hmmm, maybe they will be closing them out this spring on the cheap. Might have to watch for that.

Yes, I see that on their website.....I remember the sale, should have bought tonnage then.....who knew they were so good! :) The dealer I purchased from will probably have a spring buy on them.....so I'll wait a little while and see if I can score them for cheaper. ;-)

MY DEALER is getting more this com in week. Think I'll get a few pallets and have next years supply all taken care of.
They heat really well, and burn very clean. Trying every brand of pellet is frustrating...when I find one that works well, I'm sticking with it
.

OK......so I REALLY liked the way this fuel burned in my stove, so I just HAD to have a few tons! ;-) Just got done tarping 'em up for the snowstorm tonight......in the basement stash this weekend! :)

Hard to measure the heat with these warm temps, but the Ambiance I tried produced a lot of ash. I was hoping I would love them. Very little dust, but the ash is a deal breaker for me.

It's been a little colder up here at 1300' elevation to test out pellets.....The 4 bags I burned had ash content comparable to the Turmans I burned previously with comparable heat output. I just hope these 2 tons are the same. :)

I'm sure they'll be fine. It always amazes me the different experiences people have with the same pellets. I think a lot depends on the stove, set up of the stove, and the differences in batches. Even though I love my Turmans, I always keep my fingers crossed that they'll burn as good as usual. Even pellets that have good reputations can have bad batches. I just hope I'm not stuck with 4 tons of a bad batch of my favorite pellets!

Agreed....different results for different reasons. I will say that this batch of Ambiance runs neck to neck with my Cubex! :) I can't believe the results! For 255.00/ton there is zero complaining. Cubies are probably 300ish now.
