O yeah! I'll be picking it up later this week. Last one in stock, flat black and only $200 more than the F500!
Now time to plan the self install. :cheese:

Great stove. A friend has the same one and loves it. His only complaint is that he didnt get the blue/black and has to paint the matte black every few years. It really is worth the little extra in my opinion. Congrats!!

Forgive me for my ignorance as I'm new to the burning scene but why would you need to repaint the matte black version? Also what exactly is involved in repainting the stove? I am eyeing the Oslo and like the looks of the Matte black but would like to know what maintenance I'm getting into.

I would wager that some folks might want to paint or polish their matte black stove every few years for appearances sake as they do tend to "weather" down to a dark gray/light black . . . but I would also guess it's more of a personal preference for the look rather than based on performance. I was a bit disappointed to see my black beauty "weather" a bit . . . but now I'm used to it and way too lazy to polish it or repaint it.

Welcome to the family! Bought mine last summer and love it. I have the matte black also. Plan on painting every few years as mine is in the basement and isn't in a showplace location. Not only good to paint for appearance, but also to help care for the stove.

Thanks, I cant wait to install it! I've been dreaming of having a wood stove in my log cabin for the longest time now.
