NORTHERN MAINE
A couple days ago it was -20 below and the heater blower motor in my truck started howling and seized up.Pulled down the cover on the motor and could see it had a exposed bearing.Got my 3in1 (20w) oil from the house and oiled the bearing, now works good as new. Thanks to this forum I saved $80 bucks! Just to add another trick that has had dual uses for me,my friends clothes dryer started smoking awhile back(lint caught on fire).Luckaly they put it out.So the last time I had the leafblower out finishing my stove cleaning, I stuck the leafblower over the dyer vent and blasted a crap load of lint out in the field.lol...Anyone else have similar stories to share?

That is a picture of the worst dryer vent ive ever seen...

methinks the back panel of their dryer needs to come off too if it hasn't already. vac out the motor compartment

Never thought of using the LBT on a dryer... that's innovative!

I ran the leafblower on low, cause i didnt want to collapse the dryer hose..Im still going to pull the dryer out soon and give it a good cleaning..cant imagine what my dino juice burner venting looks like.. :ahhh:

Ok... from Google I can understand the leaf blower trick for a stove, but there's no "vent pipe" to attach the leaf blower to? How does this work?

YOu still use duct tape correct?

Just use a small cardboard box and duct tape it to your leafblowers suction side, so it will cover the vent opening. My stove venting is 4 inch so i was able to stick my leafblower setup right over the dryer opening..Hope that helps.
