I read on forum here about a tool to help pick up splits. Kinda like an extended arm. Helps to reach splits and pick up easier. I forgot the name. Can I get some help and where to buy.

No not those. It had a wooden handle and was different lengths and had a sharp hook on the end to stick in splits to help reach them when splitting and stacking. I know I saw on forum and forgot the name.

Yep, thats it. Thanks. I think the one I saw here had a different name but this looks like it.

I think I am going to get one it sounds like it could help with all the reaching and bending.

Hookaroon !. I think name was Pickeroon.

One (actually two) of the best tools I have ever bought for wood processing.

Bought them both from Peavey. Hookeroon and Pickeroon are different names for the same tool.

Thanks for all the help.

Hey, flatbedford that one sure has a long handle I bet that reaches out a ways.

I had it made that length so that I could unload my 9' flatbed with both feet firmly planted on the ground.

smart man.

My Dad always said work smart not hard. Can't say I always listened. But, it makes sense.

I agree with Steve, I bought the same one with (I think) a 4' handle.....saves a lot of work and time when unloading a truck load of rounds esp if you are flying solo!!! A friend was helping me one day to unload & run the splitter while I stacked. He asked what that tool was but instead tried using my splitting axe to pull rounds to the tailgate...then tried the hookeroon(I just call it the picker). The axe was retired for the rest of the day :)

My long one has a 6' handle.
