Wife is in hospital but doing okay

How I wish I could answer every post about this and I really appreciate all of you folks. Thank you very much.

Judy had an interesting experience after I left the hospital yesterday. The lady in the room with her was sent home but later they brought another lady in via ambulance. She said the lady had to be in really bad pain but the worse was to come. That lady died last night. Naturally they moved my wife into another room, but the best part is that my wife was consoling the nurses, some of who were crying.

My wife sadly remembers just a couple years ago when her sister passed away right in front of her. Judy and I were co-guardians for her sister and they called us early one morning and suggested one of us get to the foster care home right away. Naturally she quickly got dressed and off she went. It was tough on her but both of us were glad she was there no matter what shape her sister was in at the time. I do not think her sister even knew who she was but that did not matter.


But back to today. Shortly after arriving at the hospital she told me she had to get up to go to the bathroom. I asked if she needed to call a nurse. Her answer? "They want me to and don't like it but I just go when I have to." Right. That is Judy all the way. She had walked the hall to physical therapy after I had left yesterday and had already gone this morning. She was once more in PT when I left. The doctor was in this morning and she asked if she could go home tomorrow and got a positive response. I hope so with the snow coming. Be nice to get her back home too.

So today's report is that she is doing just fine and when I told her of the well wishes on the forum she smiled and said to thank everyone for her. So thank you very much, from both of us.

Kisses she receives daily. Ornery as all get out, but I still love her.

Jon, this is not because of insurance for sure. This is because of the ornery one. But then, I push for the same thing. I recall a few years ago when I had my first hip replacement. I looked at the clock when wheeled into the operating room. The time was right around noon and the day was Thursday. I was home before noon on Saturday doing just fine. On my second surgery I had to stay an extra day but only because of a blizzard; I couldn't get home. The day after I got home I was on the atv plowing snow. Just ask the ornery one about that one... Well, best not; she gets upset just thinking about that one. lol
