What is the bare minimum pellets you have to hoard to become a pellet pig? %-P The spring sales are coming! I could never keep up but would love to try

3 ton. But its also in the way you get them home and what you do in the process.

Are you getting them delivered? Will you be using your own vehicle?

How big is said vehicle? Can it carry a Ton? Or maybe just 15 bags?

Hows your back feeling???

Lots of variables involved. But the more work you do and the more wear your body and vehicle show? The better the standings.

But we also need pics. Without Pics. Nothing ever happened?? Ever... ;-P

I usually do 4 ton. After all the damn super horders we have here as of late, I didn't think 4 qualified anymore.

WOW tough club. Delivery ? whats that? Just me and the old Chevy. I gotta' build a shed. The missus' loves the heat but hates parking outside.

Don't need a very big shed to cram in 3 tons.

Whats the old chevy like? pics?

Agreed. Between ironpony and OMV.... Well.. Nuff said.

Northwoodneil - Yep. That Chevy will earn you points. Delivery can be accepted. But. Well. To many details. Get them yourself.

Last year I stashed 4 ton into the basement but then a deal came along that I couldn't resist and so I ended up with 8 ton. I'll probably get thru 3 ton this year. And then there's the chord wood...

Delivery is what you get when you buy say 11 tons at once, a bad back is what you get re-stacking them into pellet pig piles in order to get more in the storage area, and if you are a true pig the missus best not say boo about her car being outside (same is true during peep brooding time).

We also expect a true pig attitude.

3 stoves.... 2 Pellet and a Cord wood?? Sounds like a guy I know??

Classic Bay and a XXV. Nice. Have you ever posted pics of your stoves? Excuse me if I missed them or forgot.

8 ton would definitely put you in "Pig" status?? Have you thought of applying? May have to post a pic or two and answer a few questions. But...

Gotta' work on resizing pics I can't figure it out on this computer. The old truck likes getting her picture taken.

Ok, here you go!

And here is number 2

and finally number 3 (I think her left ear is melting!)

My basement, the green 'Cleanfire' keep going around the corner out of site.

Of course we all need a ready supply of alternative material.

Does that qualify?

most i ever had was 16 tons. i did have them delivered, but to make them fit in the garage and still be able to park there i had to restack them 2 tons high x 2 tons wide for the entire left half of the 2 car garage.
soreness level - high
why so much? depot had em for 165 a ton with a 65 dollar flat fee delivery so i got as much as i could to make delivery per ton cheaper.

never got around to taking pics and this was a while ago so the stash is down to a measly 8 tons :-(

My pellet hauler at play in the northwoods ;-)

With 3 stoves and that much fuel??? Id say you are a shoe-in.

But there is a hierarchy around here and rules must be followed.

Smokey is subscribed to this thread. Either him or Hopefully another good standing member/leader will be along.

Very Nice!

I will nominate OldBrit for pellet pig status
pellets wood and dogs, doesnt get any better

we will have to wait on a second from one of the ring leaders

If you can insulate your house with bags of pellets... you may be a pellet pig.

The hogs are holding a meeting this evening and will entertain all properly seconded nominees that meet the three ton pellet minimum prior to first frost.

All potential nominees need to tell us about their piggishness. We want true pigs not cream puffs. That is all, you have been warned ;-) .

Well I also drive a '98 Chevy Z71 stepside. Anyone that can endure the problems of a truck like that must surely qualify!

Nice to see another dual-fueler! :) Beautiful XXV by the way! My opinion is that you should be inducted into the pellet pig society. Nice pups too! :)

Having seen proof of your stashing in the true pellet pig fashion (that is re-stacked in true pig piles), the ongoing procurement of raw fiber (the tree killing), the appropriate number of fellow pigs speaking up for your membership, the required tonnage before at least the fall 2012 first frost, the abuse both of your vehicle and yourself.

The hogs have hereby granted membership oinks to OldBrit this 22nd day of February 2012.

Please add the following to your signature:

“Proud member of the Pellet Pig Club†OINK OINK!!
“You pellet pigs should be ashaimed of yourselvesâ€-eernest4-Grand Poobah-Pellet Pig Clubâ€

Welcome to the club brother pig.
