these are the 2 trees i started bucking when i cut into my leg with the chainsaw.....got back down yesterday and finished bucking the trees and got a little split as well......im starting to hate sycamore..lol..

heres on of my buddy milling some sycamore...a log about 4 foot long ..hes gonna make a few end tables

Wow - that is scary. I must have missed the thread about your accident(if there was one) Sounds like you are doing well now and that is most important, although I am glad you are back at it.

That milling set-up is really cool.
 
If you cut yer leg off it should be seasoned by fall......lol.....seriously, glad to see yer not missing any appendages, hope yer alright.

I don't think his leg would be seasoned by fall. There's alot of moisture in a leg :) however if he hangs it before seasoning, it might be ready!

On a serious note, glad to see you back out cutting so soon!!!!!!

I bucked up a good size sycamore last week. Is that stuff hard or what.

and heavy.

How your are healing well.
 
Should you cover the leg or leave it exposed to the wind?
 
Looks like good wood to me.
It's all BTUs. Will be good wood when it's dry :)
Glad you are back out cutting.
