Called on some Green Gold pellets this AM.... $245/ton pickup.... sounds kinda steep to us.

The other brand they carry is Wood Pellet Company pellets. Can't find info. Any feedback?

We've also found Lignetics for $213/ton. They can deliver up to 3 tons for $50. We're thinkin' this is the deal. Again, any feedback?

Thanks in advance!!

They were the first pellets I burned in the new stove this year. Cant say I'd go back for them unless they were alot cheaper then what I'm burning now. I paid $210/ton for them back in October. CHeck around to see if you can find any Allegheny pellets; hot pellet with fluffy ash.

We've located Somersets, 27 miles away (2 vehicles reqired for pickup) at $219/ton. Perhaps a better deal??

We can get the Wood Pellet Co pellets in our town - it's the only brand the local Agway sells. For $6/bag or $265/ton I'm not impressed. But I might be tempted at 220 or less/ton. They are OK, but not nearly as warm as the Barefoots I also picked up for $6/bag. We got our stove late in the season so are just buying by the bag.

Somersets are generally a good pellet. If I could get them up here at 219, I'd probably get 2-4 ton.

Cant comment on the Ligs.

Think we may jump on the Somersets..... two vehicles, transporting appox. 30 mi. each way.... May not be too economical, but we gotta start somewhere. Oh, and we need to get a stove... LOL.... :-D

I bought 3 tons of these. First few bags I think were leftover from last year or something else was going on. They had a ton of fines and my stove was real dirty.

The rest have been great. I have burned over 40 bags. I'd buy them again for the right price. The only real issue I had was there have been some long pellets in there and one time it was enough to create a logjam in my drop tube.

The Somersets are prob the best mentioned pellet. The Ligs are also pretty good. The Green labels can be a "blend" (Hardwood and Conifer) or 100% hardwood. I have the blend and think they are pretty good.

If you dont mind the drive time and fuel. Somersets would be my choice. By far my favorite pellet around me.

Thank you all. We appreciate your courteous responses!
