I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. I'll try and get a few exterior shots and post them in the picture section sometime in the next week or so. The stove is the Charcoal finish, we wanted to stay traditional to go with our house. The cat is about 20 lbs so a little larger than the average, he's in his box as I type this. As I have restored the house I insulated it with 4 inches of closed cell urethane in the walls and roof. The floor has 2 inches of urethane and we use interior storms to save the 1840 9 over 6 sash. Thanks for all the comments and advice from the members.

I love your house. We have lots of insulating ahead of us.

I'd like to see more of the cookstove, at some point and maybe in another forum? Our Harman pellet stove is in our old cooking fireplace in the keeping room - it still has a cast iron cooking arm in it, and a beehive oven to the left. But that chimney actually has some wood beams supporting it structurally so we couldn't get the heat of a wood stove running through it. :)

I posted a few pictures in the Picture Forum under Farm Photos. The Classic will go on Craigslist at some point in the coming week or two. The cookstove that once occupied the location of the Fireview is long gone. I'm sure it had been removed before the people we bought the farm from purchased it in 1929. You should post a photo of your 1758 house, it sounds like a good house. Do you use the brick oven?
